Raise A Kid R.I.G.H.T.® believes it is vital that parents grant their children the right to their own lives. When a parent takes responsibility for their child’s problems two terrible things happen that demolish self esteem. The first is that the child is never given an opportunity to problem solve….they feel they must have someone solve their problems for them. The second is that the parent sends a message to their child that they are not capable…they don’t trust them to do the right thing. By granting to a child their own life you help make them responsible and capable.
